Infantry formations and discipline were the basis of the Roman Army, and indeed any effective fighting force in history. The Legion, 6000 men was divided into nine ordinary Cohorts of 480 men in each, with a First Cohort of 600 men. The Cohorts were each divided into groups of of 10, called a century, each in the command of a Centurion or Primus Pilus. These centuries were each split up into groups of 8, called a Contubernium.

The Legionary Cohort is a good infantryman, use him against what you please but keep him away from myth units, they can pull him apart.
